My Paranormal Experience

Posted by: BiblioMom on: October 28, 2007

Last night I found myself in the midst of a room filled with people to hear stories of hauntings and other strange and odd experiences. It was great fun. One of my favorite stories was of an old hotel in Northern Wisconsin that in it’s heyday was a hotel for the rich and famous and what is now referred to as Hotel Hell. Not only is the place haunted (I do suggest you click the link and read for yourself) but there is also a purported portal to hell in the front. Another great story was the one of the La Belle Cemetery in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin and the statue the supposedly comes to life and re”lives” her death. One of stories that made me laugh is one of the Devil’s Punch Bowl in Menomonie, Wisconsin and the reports of someone seeing a gnome running up the hillside. Now if there is such a place where there would be a gnome, the Devils Punch bowl is just the place. I wouldn’t be surpirsed to find fairies and other magical creatures hidden in the woods there it’s been years since I was there but I didn’t have the good fortune to find a gnome running through the woods.

Since Halloween is soon upon us it was fun to sit and listen to ghost stories and stories of wild wolf beasts and then coming out into the cool Autumn night under a full and beautiful fall moon. In all honesty, it wasn’t the stories but it was the interesting people who attended the conference that was more intriguing to me. There was a very odorous woman right in front of me (I was feeling nauseous towards the end of the evening and it wasn’t from a paranormal experience0. A man with hair like Einstein’s and eyes that were all bugged out and freaky. Of course there were the obligatory goth kids bedecked in black and looking somber. My personal favorite, the old guys who only wanted to talk about UFO’s.

Happy Halloween!

That sounds like so much fun! Especially Einstein man! Did you get to talk to him?

I thought you were going to bring me with you! *pout*

Pm: Einstein man freaked me out.

tsp. : I would have brought you all with me if I could have.

Sounds like a great date with yourself! I’m glad you went and that you enjoyed it. Now the odorous woman is sad. Too many people don’t realize that they are making others sick with their perfumes and scents and odors.

Oh man, I hate being stuck in an audience near someone who is unpleasantly fragrant. Other than that, though, this sounded like a good time.

Wow. I wish there were something like this in my neck of the woods!

There are many ghosts in Wisconsin. I think it’s the paranormal capital of the world.

Ghosts in Wisconsin? I thought people would want an afterlife somewhere warm.

There were some great books published a few years back: The Haunted Canada series. Reading about places I knew really creeped me out.

Sounds both interesting and fun!

Ohhh sounds like you had a wonderful time – I am glad!
