All of the toxic thoughts that I have had for the past couple of days caught up with me. I’m currently in bed and not feeling well at all. I’ve got my laptop here to keep me warm and a rescheduled hair appointment for later this afternoon. I’m certain that my feeling ill is a direct result of the magnitude of evil thoughts I’ve been having the past couple of days.
One of my personal development goals for myself has been to become more organized. I don’t tend to plan things very well and just let them happen. So I’ve started to make grocery lists for myself and to do lists for when I’m at work. I have a goal of making my bed every morning and weeding through those things in my life that are nonessentials (including books) and downsizing (if that’s even possible… okay with the books it is).
So here is my 11 things I can do while I’m home sick list.
- Eat pudding in bed.
- Read.
- Surf the web for stupid things and spend a bunch of time taking quizzes and personality profiles and reading about celebrities.
- Sleep (making sure to set my alarm so that I don’t miss my hair cut)
- Work on my Vision Board
- Eat more pudding (it’s the only thing my stomach wants)
- Trying to get caught up on blog reading and attempting to make some witty comments that are actually related to what I have just read.
- Look at all of my pictures from my trip to Korea.
- Make tea and have more pudding.
- Enjoy the fact that I have sick time and a job and child care and wonder how it is that when my retirement statement came yesterday I opened it to find that I’ve actually made money in the last quarter.
- Try to get Karma back in my court by thinking of things that I actually like about Sarah Palin.
Nice list, I love being sick sometimes!
#11 would be the hardest one for me!!
I hope you feel better
That last one sounds really hard, but worth a lot of Karma points if you can do it.
I’ve started using to-do lists, too. My days are better organized when I’m crossing off things on a list. The only thing I don’t like about all that crossing off is that it makes time fly by too quickly.
I think I need a day in bed eating pudding.
Sometimes the powers that be send us a sick day, not so we are sick but so we catch our breath.
I hope you enjoyed your day home, sick as you were.
Oh, I’m sorry. I missed you being sick. I hope you’re better by now.
