Lightbulbs: An Inner Dilemma

Two and a half years ago I moved out of the house that I had previously occupied with my former spouse and moved into a small, cozy two bedroom duplex in town.  My living alone experience prior to this was … um… ZIP, NADA, ZILCH.  Sure I had went off to college but I  spent [...]

A Reminder

Today’s reminder, as if I need one, that my ex husband is my EX for a reason occurs about 15 minutes into the elementary school Christmas program.
The fact that we leave separately and go home to separate houses is a gift that keeps on giving!

A Thought

Sometimes I think about how much the single Mom gig thing sucks.   Then I remember how much more it sucked being married.

One Of Those Days

Today is/was/continues to be one of “those” days.

Artifacts

I take my time
Unearthing the small things that she left behind.
Hand written notes.
A pill bottle.
Me.
Artifacts of her.
Proof.
She was real.
She wrote this.
She held this.
She loved me.
Items once inconsequential are now irreplaceable.
What mysteries they hold.
Mysteries of me.
Inside of her my heart started to beat.
My arms moved for the first time.
She knew me first.
I am an [...]
