Today is Blog Comment Day as pronounced by johnsmulo.com. I have a busy day today but I plan to leave the links to the blogs that I am commenting on for the first time here. I started early last night. I have a busy day today and wanted to at least have some blogs picked out already. All of the blogs that I am posting here are blogs that I’ve never commented on until today. My intention (between meetings and doing the Mommy thing) is to find blogs and writers that I’ve never experienced before and to let them know that I’ve been there.
10:30 pm the night prior (anticipating the busy Wednesday and trying to get a start and find blogs to comment on. I started early)

8:30 am (drinking coffee and eating a bagel after having a near death experience on the interstate on the way to work)

11:45 am (in a break between a classroom observation and a noon mental health staffing I found myself commenting on blog number 5)
5. Liz Thoughts: Love, Life, Motherhood - Lactose, Lefse, and other various things.
2:20 pm Wow, what a day. I’m sitting in someone elses office at someone elses desk with my laptop because it seems that I don’t have a desk anymore. Is there nothing sacred anymore? Everytime I leave someone takes my desk (not by physically moving it but by sitting there and using my printer). So here I am and I’ve visited about 10 blogs and I haven’t left one single comment. My comment mojo is off. Sure I’ve went and left my 5 for the day but 5 can’t be all that I have in me! There must be more. Maybe I need to check my Google Reader and comment on some of the usual suspects. Either that or I need to reclaim my desk!
2:45 pm. In my office but not at my desk. Baby steps. So I took my own advice and decided to visit my friends!

I made my five blog comments — just barely. Pressure is not a good thing. I’m sure many days I make five comments, but this took hours. First I decided to make all comments on new blogs. That got reduced to two because in the long list of bookmarked blogs many had been deleted and others seemed less interesting than when saved. But I did it and now will try to comment on at least one newby a week. As a matter of fact I did one tonight without thinking. So nice to have the pressure off. I would never make it on Nanowrino.
